About Me

Where do I even begin?

Who am I? Not sure that I am qualified to even answer this question... but I'll try

I just recently graduated from Miami University (Ohio) with a BS in Computer Science. I've spent the last four years of my life learning a variety of programming practices and languages (I'm using some of that knowledge now to make this website). I'm most comfortable working with Java and C++, but have working knowledge of many different languages (check out my resume for more information on that).

Spending a majority of the last four years of my life behind a keyboard has given me a new appreciation of nature. I now take great pleasure in spending time in the great outdoors. In the last year I've backpacked in Ohio, explored San Francisco (pictured above on the left), hunted in Alabama (pictured above on the right), and camped at Red River Gorge. I also frequent my local state parks. Also, I recently invested in a camera and enjoy capturing the beauty of the nature around me.

Some of my favorite hobbies and interests
  • Hiking/Camping/Backpacking
  • Photography (the landscape variety)
  • Soccer (both spectating and playing, though I'm better at spectating)
  • Philosophy (big fan of the stoics)
  • Reading (physical books, not ebooks)
  • Marksmanship
  • Tinkering
  • Politics (though political discourse has become quite nasty as of late)
